Ellie's First Month

Ellie is now 5 weeks old and I cannot believe how fast the first month has gone.

Here are a few highlights from our time with Ellie so far.

--When we got home with Ellie she had jaundice for over a week, her levels got so high that we had to have a phototherapy machine delivered to the house

--Ellie got very aquatinted with her pediatrician, Dr. Blair, as she saw him three out of her first four days home from the hospital

--Gained all her weight back by two weeks old and weighed 8lbs 9ozs at almost 4 weeks

--Loves to be held by pretty much anyone

--Wants to be where she can see whats going on

--Ellie is so strong, holding her head up is one of her favorite things

--Going to Church and sitting with Mommy and Daddy

--Great at taking afternoon naps and getting better at sleeping at night

--Smiles all the time

--Ellie does so good when we go out to eat, such a blessing that we still can do this (I know it won't last forever though)

--Likes to play on her floor gym

--Ellie loves to visit everyone up at Vista Academy and I think they love her too, especially Mrs Stephanie

--LOVES taking a bath and getting her hair washed

--She had her first sleepover (AC was being replaced) we stayed at the Scott's house and the second night we stayed with Dru and Layla

--She finally got to meet her puppy sisters Maverick and Millie, they were on vacation at my Dad's and Terri's house

--Went to the Coppell Farmer's market

--While out to dinner at Hard Eight BBQ, Ellie got her picture with Cowboy's Coach Wade Phillips

--At five weeks she has out grown her newborn onesies and newborn diapers :-(

--Ellie got to meet both of her cousins, Layla and brand new baby Harper
